BREAKING: 12-Year-Old Girl Struck By Vehicle Boarding School Bus in Bensalem

A 12-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle while attempting to board a school bus in Bensalem around 7:30 am today. The incident happened near the intersection of Bensalem Blvd. and Timber Lane, 6 ABC reports.

Officials say the girl was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Philadelphia's CBS 3.

The driver is reportedly cooperating with authorities, but police tell 6 ABC that the school bus had its stop signal (and bar) activated at the time of the incident.

As of 10:00 am, PST traffic is reporting that the roadway is closed as police investigate the accident.
