According to restaurantbusiness.com, a national chain of buffet restaurants called Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes just announced that it has permanently closed all of its 97 restaurants across the U.S.

The CEO of the restaurant chain, John Haywood told restaurantbusiness.com that it was virtually impossible to survive “given federal recommendations that buffets and salad bars not reopen as states start easing requirements on dine-in service.”

Now, while we don’t have this restaurant chain in our area, it does cause you to think about what other types of restaurants and/or restaurant practices may not survive the Coronavirus pandemic.
