Cher To Release ABBA Tribute Album After Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again

If you saw Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, then you most likely enjoy listening to ABBA’s music. As recently announced on people.com, famous singer and actress from Mamma Mia 2, Cher will be releasing an ABBA cover album with 10 songs that were featured in the movie. If you’re a “Dancing Queen” then you will be just as excited like “One of Us” for the album to be released this fall. Cher has kept the tenth song title a surprise for when the album is released.

Cher spoke with Kathie Lee Gifford on the Today show, “After I did ‘Fernando,’ I thought: It would really be fun to do an album of ABBA songs, so I did,” she continues, “It’s not what you think of when you think of ABBA because I did it in a different way.”

Cher continued to talk about her love for Mamma Mia on the Today show, “I was a huge fan. I saw the musical on Broadway three times and was dancing in the aisles with everybody. And Ron Meyer — who was my agent, who was the head of Universal — he called me up and said, ‘You’re doing Mamma Mia!’ and hung up,” she said.

We don’t know about you guys, but we’re going to be saying “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” when the album is released.
