Have you ever been down to Long Beach Island in New Jersey? You can take exit 62 off the Garden State Parkway and it's a beautiful beach town filled with lots of entertainment and fun stuff for the entire family. Their beaches are beautiful, plus there are so many restaurants on the approximate 18 miles of the Island. One of those restaurants and may be debated as one of the most popular is Chicken or the Egg (or Chegg as people like to call it sometimes) a popular breakfast and brunch establishment that has been in business since 1991. It's open 24 hours a day during the season and the lines get pretty long because their food is amazing! They're closed for the off season now, but still making headlines because apparently they're in trouble with the U.S. Department of Labor.

According to The Patch, the U.S. DEpartment of Labor fined Chegg, over $750,000 for a bunch of violations.  One fo them bring not paying their workers for overtime and claimed they paid workers in cash, but did not record it. They also are in trouble for visa program violations when they hired employees as food preps, but instead they were bussing tables without approval. Cramark Inc, the organization that runs Chegg is paying a lot of money to employees for backed wages and damages and told the U.S. Department of Labor that they will cooperate.

Hopefully they get back on their feet before Memorial Day weekend, cuz with all this snowy weather this winter, I'm sure people will be flocking to beaches as soon as it gets warm out! That means they'll be flocking to beach towns like Long Beach Island and they're going to want some Chegg!
