Chipotle Coming Soon to East Windsor, NJ

Attention Chipotle fans. A new location is coming soon to East Windsor.

I did a double take as I drove by it last night on Route 130 North on the way to meet some friends for dinner. It's going to be in the stand alone building, near the highway, where the bank used to be, in Town Center Plaza (the Shop Rite shopping center).

I had heard rumors about this last year, but, I didn't see any progress until now. The sign is up on the building, and there's a Now Hiring banner hanging on the fencing out in front of the building.

Not sure when it's planning on opening, but, I'll get back there soon and see if there's a sign on the door with any news.

Hopefully, this East Windsor location will have a drive thru/mobile pickup window...there's plenty of room...and it already had a drive thru because it was a bank.

Speaking of drive thru Chipotles, there's one in the planning stages right now, not that far from East Windsor, in Hamilton Township. 

That proposed location would be on the corner of Route 33 and Whitehorse - Mercerville Road, where the Lukoil gas station was, across from the Mercerville Shopping Center and Applebees.

If the approvals go through, it would have a drive thru, mobile pick up, indoor and outdoor seating. I'll let you know if that gets approved. Last I heard, some residents were concerned with traffic and lighting because it would sit close to homes.

I'll let you know if I find out anything more about these two locations.
