According to an article on foodbusinessnews.com, executives at Chipotle are very happy with the success of a test program at restaurants with "driveup" locations.

The article says that while a traditional drive-thru window allows customers to order and pick up food from their vehicles, Chipotle's "drive-up" windows only allows customers who order using an app or online to pick up food.

Foodbusinessnews.com says that 20 Chipotle locations currently offer "Chipotlanes," but 60 more locations will be added before the end of the year.  That's no surprise considering that the Chipotlane "is driving higher digital sales and profitability."

It's hard to believe, but there is only one Chipotle location in Mercer County.  It's located in The Square at West Windsor Shopping Place on Route 1.  (That's the shopping center that is also home to Lowe's and Trader Joe's).

Based on the fact that it is not a standalone location, it seems unlikely that the Chipotle in West Windsor could accommodate a Chipotlane.  That said, you would think a Chipotle in or around Hamilton would be successful.

One possible spot in Hamilton is on Whitehorse Ave. where KFC used to be located.

Another is almost directly across the street in the building that used to be home to Starbucks.
