If you or your kids are big fans of the children's book turned movie "The Polar Express," come out to Polar Express Day at the Franklin Institute. This magical day will take place Saturday December 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Experience the classic Christmas story of a boy who takes a train ride to the North Pole in real life!

This is an event for all ages, but children are encouraged to wear pajamas to the event as a way of paying tribute to the kids in the book. Any child who comes wearing his or her pajamas will receive $2 off their general admission ticket. According to Philly Voice, "There will be screenings of the movie, plus science activities related to trains, snowflakes and sleigh bells." Philly Voice also mentioned that there will be opportunities for kids to learn about the human brain, the science of sports, electricity, space and more throughout the museum.
