Remember when we were told that our favorite show "Friends" was leaving Netflix in 2019? Twitter almost broke, memes were circling all over social media accounts. Fans of the 90's sitcom demanded that "Friends" stay on Netflix. Who cares if we have seen all 236 episodes multiple times. Unlike Ross, we don't need a break.

The New York Times, Netflix paid approximately $100 million to license the show for 2019. It was a big bump in pay from the $30 million per year Netflix paid since 2015 to WarnerMedia. It is not looking like Netflix will be able to fork over the $100 Million price tag again to keep the show on in 2020.

So go crazy watching "Friends" this week and the next. "Friends" goes away on January 1st. You won't be able to stream "Friends" until it starts streaming on HBO Max. HBO Max is scheduled to launch May of 2020.
