It was a scary week for one of Philadelphia’s most prominent television personalities, but at least the story has a VERY happy ending.

6ABC meteorologist Cecily Tynan took to Facebook on Wednesday to share that her recently adopted puppy, Nala, had gone missing.

“My husband called me right after 6ABC News at 11 Tuesday night to tell me our just-adopted puppy, Nala, was missing,” Tynan wrote on Facebook.

Cecily says that her husband briefly turned his back as he tended to the needs of their other dogs and Nala instantly escaped.

The family searched for much of the day on Wednesday as their heartache set in.

At one point on Thursday, Cecily even shared that a baby fox had been spotted in the same area they thought they spotted the missing puppy the day before. Turns out that was probably just the baby fox, according to Cecily.

The story, luckily, has a VERY happy ending. Cecily posted on Facebook that Nana had been found on Thursday.

“Our next-door neighbor told us he discovered her hiding under their covered picnic table,” the popular weather forecaster wrote on Thursday afternoon in a Facebook post:

Many joined the search party for the dog as well during the time Nala was missing:

And from the looks of it, we think everyone is happy to that Nala is home (including the puppy herself):

We're happy this story had a happy ending, Cecily!
