This year, Cinco De Mayo happily falls on a Tuesday, which hasn’t happened since 2015. This glorious combination means a combination of taco specials and Cince De Mayo deals for patrons everywhere. But Taco Tuesday has been going on much longer than since 2015.

Gregory’s Restaurant & Bar in Somers Point registered the term “Taco Tuesday” in 1982 exclusively for New Jersey.

Although the rest of the United States is under a different trademark for the same phrase, this magical day for tacos has fallen once again in sync with this food and beverage-driven holiday.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, many restaurants in Pennsylvania are selling food specials along with bottles of beer and wine.

Some places to look in to include Casa Mexico at 1134 S. Ninth St., which will feature tacos on their menu, Lolita at 106 S. 13th St., which will reopen for takeout and delivery on Tuesday, and Cantina Feliz at 424 S. Bethlehem Pike. Click here for more options.
