Here’s Where You’ll Find the Best Black Friday Deals

The personal-finance website WalletHub just released its list of the Best Places to Shop on Black Friday.

To come up with the list, WalletHub says it "surveyed nearly 8,000 deals from 29 of the biggest U.S. retailers’ 2019 Black Friday ad scans."

Based on that criteria, JC Penney ranks #1 among stores with locations in our area.  WalletHub says that JCP will, on average, discount items 61% on Black Friday.

JC Penney was top-ranked nationally in several of WalletHub's categories, including Computers & Phones, Consumer Packaged Goods, Toys, and Furniture.

Just below JC Penney is Kohl's, where, according to WalletHub, items will be discounted an average of 57.1%.

Other local retailers with average discounts over 50% include New York & Company (56.3%), Dick's Sporting Goods (52.3%), and Kmart (51.8%).

Retailers low on WalletHub's list, surprisingly include Walmart (34.3%), Target (34.3%), and Amazon (25.4%).

Other stores included in WalletHub's study include Macy's, BJ's, Nordstrom, Staples, Best Buy, Big Lots, Costco and several others.  For a complete list of the WalletHub's rankings, click here.
