The 48-year-old attacker, Curtis Fish, who it’s believed was under the influence of drugs at the time, raped the woman, police say. The victim escaped through a window, but the attacked refused to come out of the home when authorities arrived.

A police affidavit obtained by CBS 3 (KYW TV) indicates that the incident took place in Fish's home.

Hilltown Township police say they used tear gas after an eight-hour standoff. A tactical team entered the home and found the suspect in a closet after 11 hours, police told 6 ABC.

It’s believed that the victim and attacker knew each other, but it’s not clear how well they know each other. Fish was expected to be arraigned today (January 2).

The victim was taken to the hospital. Her condition is not clear at this time.
