How to Recycle your Hazardous & Electronic Waste
Have you ever thrown something in the garbage or recycling and wondered if you're disposing of it properly? I know, I do it all the time. I wish I knew what every little recycling symbol meant and where everything goes, but I do my best and I think we all do, but we can definitely do better! We can start with hazardous materials and electronics. I had no idea that you're not supposed to throw out tvs and computers in the regular trash. Under the Electronic Waste Management Act, they must be recycled. Where do you do this? At awesome events your town and county will hopefully hold like the one coming up at the end of this month.
According to a newsletter from the County of Mercer, Mercer County's is holding a hazardous & electronic waste disposal day on March 30th. It will be held at the Mercer County Fire Academy in Lawrenceville from 8am- 2pm. This event is rain or shine and no registration is needed, but you do need to show proof that you live in Mercery County since this is for Mercer County residents only.
