Candela Brothers Taking Over Chuckles Pizza in Lawrence Today

The Candela brothers are back in the restaurant business. As of today, they're taking over Chuckles Restaurant in the Manors Shopping Center in Lawrence.

The announcement came on Chuckles website this morning. The message was short,  and sweet for many locals: "Today we welcome the Candela family to carry on the legacy of Chuckles and bring back the legacy of Candelas to Lawrenceville. Welcome Candela Brothers."

The news spread quickly on a Lawrence community facebook page with loyal Candela's customers congratulating the Candela Brothers, Pete and Frank, on their new business venture, rejoicing that they're back in the community, and making plans to order their favorite Candela's food once again.

Another Lawrence Neighbors facebook group revealed that both restaurants will be represented in this new era. When asked if it will be Candela's food or Chuckles' food, Pete Candela simply commented that it will be a "combined menu."

The Candela family had been facing finanacial problems with their location on Lawn Park Avenue in recent months, with customers devastated when the pizza place and italian restaurant suddenly closed, without notice.

Not sure if there will be a name change, but, the Candela's new home, Chuckles, is located in the Manors Shopping Center, 160 Lawrenceville - Pennington Road, Lawrence.
