German international discount grocery store chain, Lidl, has announced its Burlington Township food market will have its grand opening next week, according to a store representative.

Lidl's newest New Jersey location will open Wednesday, July 22nd at 8am. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7:40am, if you'd like to stop by and see the fun. Don't miss the grand opening deals. If you're one of the first 100 customers, you'll get a free gift card, which could have anywhere from $5 to $100 on it. Wow. That's awesome. You can enter to win a $500 Lidl gift card, and there will be other giveaways too.

I had never heard of Lidl until a few months ago when it was announced that there would be one opening in Lawrence Township. It's set to go where the Acme was in the Lawrence Shopping Center on Business Route 1 and Texas Avenue. No word on when that one will open. Nothing's been done to the space since Acme closed several years ago. Residents are anxious to get another grocery store in there and running.

The Burlington Township Mayor, Brian Carlin, said, “We are excited to welcome an international company like Lidl to Burlington Township. This is an opportunity to provide residents with more retail choices and affords more employment opportunities for our residents. We thank Lidl for their investment in our community and look forward to them becoming a successful business and community partner in our community.”

With the new Burlington location there will be 9 Lidl food markets in the Garden State. After checking out the website, I can't wait to go check it out.

The Burlington Lidl is located at 1801 Mount Holly Road.
