I have never colored my hair before. I know most people don't believe me, but it's the truth. I've only gotten my hair cut and styled. Even when I've gotten it cut and styled, stylists have told me that since I've never gotten it colored, that I shouldn't start now. I'm glad too because since salons have been shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic, people's natural hair color is starting to show. I've seen a bunch of memes from hairstylists that warn about using those hair coloring kits from the drugstores and a few local salons want to help you get your color.

An article on NJ.com, a few salons in New Jersey are offering to send people hair coloring kits to do at home. The main reason is, once this pandemic is over, it'll cost more money to correct a color job if it's not the color you're used to getting in the salon. Hair Addict Salon & Extension Bar in Toms River is one of the salons and they have sent out "Survival Kits" to their existing clients. That way, they already know your color and all you have to do is follow the directions to do it yourself. There are a bunch of other salons in New Jersey doing this kits as well.

So if you feel like you need to get your hair colored ASAP. I'd reach out to your salon and see if they're doing a survival kit and I would listen to what all stylists are saying right now, which is, don't buy a box of hair dye and do it yourself. Who knows what will happen!
