Red Moon Pizza in Mercer Mall Closing for Good

Oh no...you're not going to like this news: After decades, a local favorite, Red Moon Pizza, in Mercer Mall (Lawrence Township), will be closing for good, according to the owner.

The pizzeria is located in between the JoAnn Fabrics store and the old TJ Maxx. It will only be open a few more days, the owner told us. Their last day of operation will be this Saturday (February 1), so you'd better get there for your fix before then.

One of my friends says she plans on stocking her freezer with their Sicilian pizza.

Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads...you name it, it was one the best. It's been there forever and was absolutely one of my "go-to" pizza places over the years. So I'm sad to see it go.

I had such a nice conversation with the owner, Sal, who told me that he and his brother would be retiring.

I'm sure there will be a lot of people scratching their heads, wondering where to get better pizza than Red Moon in the area.

Enjoy your retirement, but, boy, many will miss Red Moon.
