Luke Skywalker & a Goonie Will Be Filming a Movie in South Jersey

According to an article on thedailyjournal.com, a movie featuring Mark Hamill and Sean Astin will be filming scenes in South Jersey next week.

The film is called "The Retaliators" and a representative from The South Jersey Film Alliance told thedailyjournal.com that "the plot of the movie involves a man who tries to help people find justice by capturing a suspected criminal."

The article says that filming is expected to take place in Vineland and Millville.  There is no word on whether or not Hamill or Astin are taking part in scenes being filmed in the South Jersey towns.

Of course, Hamill is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies.  He first played the character in the original "Star Wars" (now known as "Star Wars IV-A New Hope) in 1977.

Meanwhile, Astin has also appeared in several iconic films, including the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Rudy" (in which he played the title character), and "Goonies".  He was also a popular character in Season 2 of the Netflix series, "Stranger Things".
