Rita's Italian Ice will be open in the Princeton Shopping Center, starting today (Wednesday, May 13th) at noon, according to The Patch.

Notice I didn't say reopening, this Rita's location is brand new. The owner, long time Bucks County resident, Jeff Antell, is eager to serve you telling The Patch, "As a walk up shop, we feel fortunate that we are able to open and operate safely (following state, local and corporate guidelines) to provide a little ice, custard and happiness to our guests during these challenging time. My family and I look forward to meeting the community at the store in the near future."

It's finally warming up a little bit (hopefully it stays like this) so visiting this new Rita's would be a great treat, and a nice way to get some fresh air and feel normal...at least for a little while. Although, the outdoor tables and benches are closed...that's definitely not normal, but, a sign of the times. What's your favorite treat at Rita's? I love a chocolate/chocolate Misto and the popular Gelati. I just had a Banana Ice and Chocolate Custard Gelati...oh my, yum.

Here's an idea: bring a blanket for the back of your car, pop the back open, and tailgate with your Rita's in the parking lot, obviously, not near anyone else. I noticed people doing that at a Starbucks recently.

The new Rita's Italian Ice is located at 301 North Harrison Street, in the Princeton Shopping Center, near McCaffrey's. The hours right now are 12pm - 8pm, but, will hopefully be extended when it's safe to do so.
