We are sure we aren't the only ones stressing over this REAL ID change. If you don't know anything about the "REAL ID", the REAL ID is a "form of identification that meets increased security standards for state-issued driver's licenses and identification cards."

If you do not have a REAL ID before October you will not be able to fly within the country with just your regular driver's license or ID.

Knowing that we have to go to the DMV (NJ Motor Vehicle Commission) to get the new REAL ID and waste maybe a full day there sounds painful. We have some good news though. Well, only for some people.

NJ.com reported that New Jersey residents will be able to update their driver's license to the REAL ID without an appointment. There is only one downside to this "no appointment" deal. You are only allowed to do a walk-in if your current driver's license or ID will expire within 3 months.

Another thing you should be aware of is that you are only able to do walk-in's between the 5th and 20th of every month, according to NJ.com.
