Postmates users in Philadelphia now have access to a new delivery option when ordering food through the app. By selecting the Postmates Party delivery becomes free of charge.

Thrillist shared the good news for fans of the app, but also revealed that this "pro" option came with a "con." The downside of this option is that your delivery may take a little longer to arrive at your door.  The reason they call it a "party" is because you'll be joining a delivery group. When you and several other people order from the same restaurant the delivery person will make one trip delivering multiple orders. Now you know why they call it a "party."

They are testing this option so far in Philadelphia and aslo in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, Seattle, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, Orange County, and Long Beach, according to Thrillist.

To access this new option, just open the Postmates app, select Postmates Party tab and order from the trending restaurants that are in your area. Another downside of this option is that they only give you five minutes to order. So think fast and order quick if you want to join that "party."

Let's see if Postmates will expand this across the country or if they decide to discontinue this feature because of customers possibly complaining that their food was delivered cold or took longer than expected to arrive.
