Power Outage Causes Six Flags To Close Early

According to the official Twitter account of Six Flags Great Adventure, the park in Jackson, NJ was forced to close early today due to "a parkwide power failure." The following was posted at 6:42pm:

Although the above tweet did not state a cause for the outage, many people online guessed that it was due to severe thunderstorms that rolled through Central New Jersey earlier today.

Six Flags Great Adventure is scheduled to be open daily through Monday, Sept. 3. After that date, the park will be open weekends and on select weekdays. You can check out the schedule here.
