Serious Accident Shuts Down Busy Lawrence Township Roadway

A busy roadway in Lawrence Township has been shut down following a serious motor vehicle accident.

Lawrence Township police are alerting motorists to "avoid Brunswick Pike southbound in the area of Bunkerhill Avenue," because of a motor vehicle accident. The police report that there are serious injuries in the accident.

We don't have many details about the crash, but the first alert from the police department came in via Nixle just before 4:30 this afternoon. Traffic maps in the area show a serious back up from before East Darrah Lane to the accident scene.

Eyewitnesses in the area took to social media to report a large response from first responders this afternoon as well.
