If you're planning on traveling outside of the country and need a passport, listen up. The Mercer County Clerk has announced special days when you can apply for a passport, without having to go the Mercer County Clerk's Office on South Broad Street in Trenton. Good news, right?

There are several convenient locations throughout Mercer County in March and April, according to Mercer Me. Click here to find one near you. They're doing it in early spring  because the US Department of State typically gets a ton of applications in spring, as people start planning their summer vacations, so they're giving you a chance to get a head start. The number of applications has gone up over the years because of changing travel requirements. You now need a passport to travel to the Carribean, Canada, and Mexico.

Don't panic, if you can't make it to any of these special days. You can always go to the Mercer County Clerk's Office, 209 South Broad Street, Trenton, during regular business hours. There's also a satellite office located in the Hamilton Square Shopping Center on Route 33 and Paxson Avenue in Hamilton, which has evening and Saturday hours. You can get your passport picture taken at both locations.

All this talk of passports makes me want to book a vacation, pronto.
