The rain is gone and it's supposed to be a beautiful weekend! Perfect for checking out Quickchek's Balloon Festival in Readington!

The balloon festival is in it's 36th year and brings people from all over New Jersey and Pennsylvania to see this spectacular event!

It's held at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ and will begin at 1 p.m. today. It's really cool if you happen to drive near the area and you see balloons flying in beautiful Hunterdon County. This is not just any balloon festival, there are many other activities happening throughout the weekend.

Here's a breakdown!

Friday:
Balloons will hit the skies at 6:30 p.m.
Laurie Berkner is performing a children's concert at 1:30 p.m.
Andy Grammer will play at 8 p.m. Friday night and afterwards there will be fireworks!
(Music will actually be playing throughout the weekend and lawn seating are included with your general admission! Various VIP packages and VIP reserved concert seat tickets can also be purchased.)

Saturday:
Balloons will hit the skies at 6:30 a.m.
That will include five that will be making their debut at the festival!
Lifehouse performs Saturday at 8 p.m. with glowing balloons!

Sunday:
The Running with the Balloons 5K starts at 8 a.m. Sunday.
David "The Bullet" Smith the human cannonball will be starting the race!
Sunrise yoga at 7 a.m., & pilates at 8:15 a.m.

QuickChek will be selling food and Crave Events Group will also be catering for another dining option.
(Food, drinks, coolers & tents are not allowed)

Parking:
Solberg Airport- $10 per car
Raritan Valley Community College- Saturday and Sunday and includes a free shuttle.
