This NJ Popeyes Was Really Serving 24k Gold Chicken Wings
*Cues Bruno Mars - 24k Magic*
Customers we're feeling "bad & boujee" at this NJ Popeyes yesterday.
That's because they were serving up boneless chicken wings dipped in champagne and coated in 24-karat gold batter to celebrate the opening of their 3,000th restaurant.
"We wanted to share this celebration with our fans, so our chefs cooked up something extra special for them," Popeyes president Alex Santoro, said in a statement according to USA TODAY. "It's a fun way for guests to celebrate this milestone right along with us."
According to nj.com, "The chicken is first hand-battered with champagne and then fried before being tossed with 24-karat gold flakes."
I really, really wished I could have tasted this. So Jell!
