The hints were there, but, now it's official. Trader Joe's is coming to Freehold Township, according to the Asbury Park Press.

The Freehold Township Planning Board met late last week and approved the plan for the trendy food store to move into the space, formerly occupied by Walgreens, in the Pond Road Plaza, on Route 9. It will be nice to see something in there since it's been vacant since the summer of 2015.

Be patient though, friends. The space will be going through a renovation, but, still may be ready for opening in the fall, the article says.

Trader Joe's Regional Vice President for Stores, Justin Matthews, said in a statement, "It's just a great neighborhood. We've had success in Brick and Shrewsbury...I think this is a great spot for us."

If you haven't been to a Trader Joe's, you're missing out. I love all of their cool dips and snacks. I know my friends love their wine too, especially its low price.

Another Trader Joe's will be opening on Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill soon.

I always thought one would be good in the old Marazzo's Thriftway in the Foxmoor Shopping Center in Robbinsville. We'll see.
