'Tis the season. The Ladies Auxiliary of Hightstown Engine Co. #1 will be hosting their annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony and Santa Parade on Friday, November 29th (the day after Thanksgiving), according to their Facebook event.

The festivities will kick off at 6:30pm with the Santa parade. It will begin at Leshin Lane, go down South Main Street, through the center of town, and end up at the firehouse. Santa will be on a firetruck, so make sure you bring the kids to wave to him. I have such great memories of seeing Santa on a firetruck each year.

After Santa arrives at the firehouse, he'll officially light all the holiday lights in the downtown Hightstown area. Yay.

Once the lights are lit, the public is invited to go into the firehouse for refreshments and to visit Santa. You can get a picture taken with him for only $3.

This event gives me such a warm, fuzzy feeling. I love the holidays and all the traditions that go along with them.

If you plan on going, please consider bringing a toy to donate to a less fortunate child in the area. Thanks!  It feel so good to give back.
