$300,000 in Checks Stolen From Local Mailboxes

As they say, everything will always come to an end, and that's exactly what happened to six individuals who were prying open mailboxes and taking valuable mail.

Bergen, Essex, Middlesex, Morris and Passaic Counties were the areas that had USPS mail boxes vandalized by criminals. The criminals (Ismael Alicea, Yerrisson Garcia-Rodriguez, Jerry Lake-Rodriguez, Johan Lake-Rodriguez, Brayan Ulloa and Jefersson Quezada) have been caught.

These six individuals stole close to $300,000 in checks, according to authorities, which alone can leave them with up to 30 years in prison for bank fraud.

Not all individuals in the conspiracy are facing the same charges.
