In what has become an annual holiday tradition in Princeton, Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" returns to McCarter Theatre on Dec. 7.  This year's production will be directed by Adam Immerwahr and will star Greg Wood as Ebenezer Scrooge.

There will be a total of 26 performances of the play between Dec. 7-29, including several "special" performances.  For example, the show on Dec. 27 will feature a meet-and-greet with Scrooge, and the Dec. 28 show will be a "Sensory-Sensory Relaxed" performance.

In addition to featuring well-accomplished actors from all of the world, the cast of "A Christmas Carol" at McCarter Theatre will also include 35 members from the greater Princeton area.

According to CharlesDickensInfo.com, "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens was originally published in 1843 and was an immediate success.  Since then, the story has been adapted many times for screen and stage productions.

McCarter Theatre is located on the campus of Princeton University and is supported by contributions from the University, the New Jersey State Council for the Arts, and many other corporations and individuals.  For tickets and more information, click here.
