Nickelodeon Universe is set to open as part of the new American Dream mega-mall at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford this spring.

The indoor theme park will be eight acres in size, making it the largest indoor amusement park in the country.

Yeah, it'll actually surpass the Nickelodeon Universe park in the Mall of America in Minnesota, according to a report from NJ.com. That park is seven acres in size, according to a fact sheet from the Mall of America.

The New Jersey theme park is expected to have 27 rides when it opens later this year. This includes four roller coasters (plus, a ropes course and game theater).

Have you visited the Mall of America? This park will be unique because some of their most popular rides will actually be re-invented for the New Jersey park.

The "Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge" will be rebranded as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Shellraiser at American Dream. Coaster enthusiasts, listen up: it will actually be the steepest roller coaster in the world when it opens, according to nj.com

The "Fairly Odd Coaster" at Mall of America will be built as "The Shredder" here in New Jersey.  This could become another favorite for coaster enthusiasts because it will be the longest spinning roller coaster in the world (at 1,322 feet in length).

If you're wondering how much it will cost to get into the new park, we don't know just yet. Prices for Nickelodeon Universe have not been released yet. However, we can tell you that an all-day pass to the Mall of America park costs about $37. So it's safe to assume that this will be about the same cost.

As for an opening date, we don't know just yet. It should happen soon, though, according to published reports. They say that the New Jersey theme park is expected to open this spring.
