The Bensalem High School Class of 2020 commencement will take place outside of the Parx Casino on Friday, June 12th.

This is one of the first high schools in our area to confirm that they will be holding a “parking lot” graduation ceremony.

The event will kick off at 5:00 pm, school officials say. Family members will remain in their cars (following CDC guidelines and social distancing). The commencement will be seen on the large screens and audio will be available on car stereos.

Of course, graduation ceremonies are a right of passage so it's no wonder that many have been devastated to learn that they wouldn’t be able to have one. The size of the parking lot at Parx casino is PERFECT for this kind of experience.

“This provides a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to be recognized in such a special way,” school officials said in Friday’s announcement.

More details will be announced for the commencement ceremony in the coming days, they say.

In the meantime, 94.5 PST wants to celebrate ALL graduates in the area. Every graduate deserves to be recognized. So if you may have dreamed of hearing your name called out on a microphone during a graduation ceremony, we want to honor your accomplishments so that EVERYONE hears your name loud and clear on the radio.

In the coming weeks, we’ll shout out to YOUR graduate during PopCrush on PST weeknights between 8 and 9 pm.

We’ll honor all graduates on-air (more details to come soon), but for now, visit this page to fill out the submission form.
