BREAKING: Fire Reported at Senior Living Facility in Ewing

A multi-alarm fire was reported late Saturday evening at a senior living facility in Ewing Township (Mercer County).

The first reports of a fire at the Ewing Independent Living Facility came in just after 10 pm Saturday evening (September 28). The senior apartments are located at 1015 Whitehead Road Extension in Ewing Township (Mercer County). The fire was put under control before 10:40 pm on Saturday.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the blaze. Scanner reports indicated that some on the scene were being treated by EMS for smoke inhalation. The extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.

The extent of the damage to the 72 unit facility was not immediately clear.
