CAUGHT ON TAPE: Man Steals $1,800 in Cigarettes at Bensalem Wawa
The Bensalem Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a thief that stole almost $1,800 in cigarettes from the Wawa at 1549 Bristol Pike.
Surveillance video captured the robbery. In it, the suspect is seen casually walking the counter and removing a large box of cigarettes, and then, casually leaving.
Bensalem Police say the suspect stole 10 boxes of Newport cigarettes and 10 boxes of Parliament cigarettes worth a total of $1771.
According to CRIMEWATCH®, the supsect, who was wearing "a green/yellow bright colored vest over a grey long sleeve shirt, wearing glasses and a ball cap, and dark pants," left the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
