A line cook from Bahama Breeze in Marketfair on Route 1 in Princeton will be competing for $1,000 in a Top Chef competition tomorrow.

Jose Herrarte is 1 of 9 Bahama Breeze chefs in the northeast competing. He's already won the first round (which was held in our local Princeton location), and now he'll be doing his thing in the finals tomorrow (April 2nd).  This is the 4th year for this competition at Bahama Breeze.

He won the first round with what The Patch is calling his "signature dish,"  Ayarza Steak. It's filet mignon marinated in orange and red wine. It's served with a lobster tail, potato and corn puree. Yum...I want to try it.

I was going to tell you to go to the finals tomorrow at the King of Prussia Bahama Breeze. It's at 5pm, and you would have been able to sample all of the dishes being prepared for the contest, with an open bar, BUT, I just checked their facebook page and all the tickets are SOLD OUT.

Good luck, Jose! Bring home that Top Chef title to Princeton.
