The National Spelling Bee is down to it's final contestants and four of them are from New Jersey.

The competition started with 562 students, 16 of them being from NJ.

The number was shaved down to 50 student that were chosen to go to the next round including 4 NJ students left in the finals.

The student were chosen to go to the next round by a scoring system based on preliminary spelling and vocabulary tests.

According to nj.com, "The winner will receive $50,000 and a trophy, plus a $2,500 prize and reference library from Merriam-Webster, $400 in reference works from Encyclopædia Britannica."

Another sweet part of the prize is getting to appear on major television shows like 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' and 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

Let's keep our fingers crossed that one of the winners is from NJ!

The 92nd annual Scripps National Spelling Bee finals will on ESPN tonight (May 30th) 8:30 p.m.
