Gas Leak in Lawrence Shuts Down Part of I-295

JUST IN: Lawrence Township Police have advised residents that there is a gas leak on Princeton Pike by I-295 South, as of 4:45pm.

Lawrence Township emergency workers are on the scene and PSE&G is actively working to correct the problem. There is NO danger at this time.

Timing's not great for this, as it occurred at the start of rush hour. The entire area is already congested, so police are asking you to avoid the area until further notice. One lane of I-295 south is shut down.
