We’re excited for a big weekend for the Robbinsville Little League 12U Softball All-Star Team.

The girls will begin playing in the three-day statewide championship tournament tonight (July 12) in Morris Plains, according to a report from TapInto.net.

The winner of this weekend's tournament continues their journey for the national title. The next stop is the regional tournament in Bristol, CT next week.

The first game for the girls will have them facing Swedesboro-Woolwich from Gloucester County. The tournament is double elimination and includes two games on Saturday, and a championship game this Sunday.

There are high stakes in the tournament as the winner of the state championship will begin their journey for the national title. The national games will take place in Portland, Oregon this August.

Good luck, Robbinsville girls! We’re rooting for you. No matter what happens, we’re SUPER proud of you all.

Robbinsville’s girls, by the way, are no strangers to success. They won the World Series championship in 2014, and have reigned as both the Eastern Regional Champs (in 2016) and the state champs (in 2017).

Here's the last out of the 2014 World Series, by the way:

Good luck, Robbinsville girls! We’re rooting for you. No matter what happens, we’re SUPER proud of you all.
