HiTOPS’ Annual Princeton Half Marathon Scheduled for Next Weekend
It’s a Princeton tradition, and once again, it will happen next Sunday in downtown Princeton. There are still opportunities to register to run in the race and there are plenty of volunteer opportunities for the awesome event.
Yeah, HiTOPS will once again host their Princeton Half Marathon on November 3. The race steps off at 7 am with an iconic course that will take participants through the heart of historic Princeton.
Register For The Race
The annual race is a USATF Certified Grand Prix event, with a limited field of 1,750 runners.
There’s still time to register for the incredible race day experience, which includes:
- A medal and T-shirt for every runner
- A $250 gift card to Hamilton Jewelers for the top male and top female finishers
- Plus, additional awards for other participants.
The day will conclude with the Kegs and Eggs after-party at the Alchemist & Barrister.
There are incentives for individual fundraising efforts (like if you raise $200, you’ll receive a registration refund), and there are incentives for teams (including opportunities for their own port-o-potty and access to a private tent in Victory Village).
Click here for registration details, but hurry, spaces are filling up fast!
Volunteers Are Still Needed
Not a runner? There are PLENTY of opportunities to volunteer for the marathon before, during, and after the race.
Since coming to the Princeton area, I truly believe in hiTOPS mission to serve our area. I have volunteered with one of the mentoring programs since last year.
HiTOPS provides positive, non-judgmental, accurate, affirming programs and services in welcoming, fun, affirming spaces for young people of all identities, and the people who work with, and care for them. Their work with LGBTQ+ support groups, mentoring, the Trans Youth Forum and more.
They are truly a one of a kind organization that I am SO proud of all their efforts to help our youth.
Donations are being accepted as well, as there's a $30,000 fundraising goal for the event to help achieve HiTOPS mission of supporting local youth. Click here to donate.
