According to The Patch, Governor Murphy announced that Middlesex County and NJ Transit have reached an agreement so that a train station will be built by the Middlesex County Improvement Authority in North Brunswick. The project will cost about $50 million. The North Brunswick train station will be apart of the Northeast Corridor Line and once the train station is built, it will be the first new station built by NJ Transit in a long time.

My husband grew up in North Brunswick and when we lived in South Brunswick for five years, we were there all the time. There have been rumors of a train station coming to North Brunswick Main Street for years, but residents of North Brunswick have not seen anything being done to move these plans forward. Until a few days ago, when they got a major agreement was met.

Even though this was a big step forward, it will still likely be a few years before construction of the train station gets underway.
