Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was just sentenced to serve eight months in a federal prison following his guilty plea for a 2014 tax evasion case.

Sorrentino appeared in federal court earlier today (October 5) with his fiancee Lauren Pesce. Photos also showed members of the Jersey Shore cast in the courtroom today. They were all seen wearing black.

Sorrentino and his brother Marc were indicted last year for 2014 tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States after failing to pay taxes on about $9 million in income, according to the Asbury Park Press.

"The Situation" will also serve two years of supervised release after he leaves federal prison.

Mike pled guilty to one count of tax evasion back in January. His brother, Marc, who was sentenced to serve two years in prison, additionally pled guilty to one count of aiding in the preparation of a false and fraudulent tax return.

Sorrentino just celebrated 34 months of sobriety earlier this week.

The second season of MTV's Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
