Hours after the conclusion of the ACM Awards on Sunday (April 7), Kelly Clarkson headed to her social media channels to fill fans in on what could only be described as quite an awkward moment.

“The greatest thing by far that happened to me tonight was being asked to move because some guy thought I was a seat filler at the ACM’s tonight,” she wrote. “Literally, it made my night because he was so serious, and I just politely said no hahaha!!”

It’s hard to believe that anyone doesn’t know Clarkson, especially since she played such a big part in this year’s ACM Awards! The original American Idol winner stepped on the stage twice throughout the night, joining voices with Jason Aldean and Dan + Shay in two separate performances.

“I think we should be a trio,” Clarkson wrote on her Instagram page on Sunday (April 7) alongside a pic of her prepping to take the stage with Dan + Shay. “I enjoy singing with you two so much! Thank you for tonight.”

Clarkson’s appearance on the awards show came just days after she ended her wildly popular Meaning of Life Tour, in which she brought out openers including country artists Kelsea Ballerini and Maggie Rose.

“Peace out from the Meaning of Life Tour y’all,” Clarkson tweeted on March 31. “I was blessed w/the greatest band, crew, & people to work alongside!! & thank you SO MUCH to all the fans for bringing us energy every night, singing & dancing with us! We couldn’t do it without y’all!!  ....see y’all next tour.”
