Burt Reynolds, whose television and film career spanned over 60 years, has died, according to a report from the Hollywood Reporter.

The actor, who starred in films like Smokey and the Bandit and The Longest Yard, was 82.

Reynolds reportedly went into cardiac arrest in Florida on Thursday (September 6). His family was by his side at the time of his death, according to US Weekly.

Reynold was known for his personality on and off screen during his legendary career. One of his most famous roles was when he portrayed porn director Jack Horner in the 1997 film Boogie Nights.
