Lottery Ticket Sold at Wawa in Hightstown (Mercer County) Wins $146K

Somebody in Mercer County is starting the New Year with a ton of cash.

The New Jersey Lottery just announced that one lucky ticket matched all five numbers for Friday night's (January 3) Cash 5 jackpot.

Lottery officials say that the ticket was sold at the Wawa on Hickory Corner Road in Hightstown. The total jackpot was an impressive $146,904.

The winning numbers were 02, 12, 28, 40 and 43. The XTRA number was 04.

Additionally, the retailer (Wawa) will also receive a $2,000 bonus check for the winning ticket.

It was not immediately clear if the winner had claimed the ticket just yet, but if you know somebody who frequents that Wawa, you may want to reach out to them today to see if they're the lucky winner.

If you weren't the lucky winner, don't worry. Tonight's Pick 6 jackpot has increased to $5.7 million. Of course, that would be a NICE chunk of change to start the new year.
