Marijuana Possibly to be Legalized in 2020
New Jersey’s long wait for cannabis legalization could finally come to an end within the final months of 2019.
Legislation for the legalization of marijuana has been in the works for some time for the Garden State, and with the open support of Governor Phil Murphy, Residents of New Jersey will likely receive a chance to vote come November.
Advocates and insiders alike are buzzed at this prospect, and have organize a conference meant for networking on October 2nd.
Lobbyist Bill Pascrell III was quoted by NJ.com in stating, “Although there are many challenges, medical cannabis has been extraordinarily successful as it evolves. There is a concerted effort to get adult use done by year’s end.” Although the goals may seem cumbersome, those in favor have intense support for the progression of this cause.
