As the year comes to a close a lot of companies, organizations, magazines, newspapers and more are doing their year end roundups and best-ofs. Powerhouses like People Magazine and Billboard have announced their artist, woman, entertainer and athlete of the decade. Well, the state of New Jersey also likes to give credit where credit is due to our own. The garden state just named Jack Antonoff as New Jersey's artist of the decade.

Jack Antoff is a mastermind in the pop world of music, and has worked with some of the most powerful women in the industry. As a writer he has won Grammys, collabed with some of the best such as Taylor Swift,  LordeLana Del ReySiaCarly Rae JepsenSara BareillesRachel Platten, Pink and more.

He has this amazing knack of making you feel like you’ve been friends since kindergarten,” said pop superstar Pink. “He is instantly lovable and very, very funny … I hope we get to write together forever.” According to NJ.com, Antonoff co-wrote and produced two songs off her 2017 “Beautiful Trauma” LP.

“There’s nothing better than being from a place that everyone tells you is not the best place on Earth, because then you make it the best place on Earth,” Antonoff says. “You have the best time of your life when you’re a little bit bored and you make it up as you go. That’s what New Jersey is to me. … The story of New Jersey music is ‘hope.’”
