New Jersey Transit River Line Service Shut Down This Afternoon in Florence
New Jersey Transit's River Line service between Florence and Roebling stations is shut down until further notice following a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.
A New Jersey Transit spokesperson told the Burlington County Times that a light rail train (traveling southbound) struck the passenger around 2:15 pm. Nobody else was injured in the incident.
Service between the Florence and Roebling stations, however, remains shut down as the New Jersey Transit Police conduct an investigation. Bus service is being offered between the two stations at this time, according to a statement from New Jersey Transit.
