Zed's Beer/Bado Brewing in Marlton has been named New Jersey's Brewery of the Year at the New York International Beer Competition.

The New York International Beer Competition says there were over 600 submissions this year.  (It's the 9th year the competition has been held).  Over 14 countries were represented in over 30 categories.

In addition to being named NJ's Brewery of the Year, Zed also won the following Gold Medal awards:

  • American-Style Pale Ale ($10 or less) --- Zed’s in the Universe–Pale42
  • Classic Irish-Style Dry Stout ($10 or less) --- Zed’s in Ireland–Dry Stout

 



By the way, if you're curious, Zed was "a Bado family legend."  According to the brewery's
website, Zed was a miner in Hungary who brewed beer on his day's off.
