Nike United Store Opening in Lawrence Township, NJ Next Week

Get ready to shop. Nike United - Princeton, a brand new retail store in Mercer Mall, on Route 1 South in Lawrence Township, is opening next week, according to a sign hanging on the front door.

The wait is almost over. When I drove by over the weekend (yes, I was shopping again, lol), the sign says that opening day will be Thursday, February 17th. This means Mercer County residents won't have to take the drive to the Jackson Premium Outlets for much longer. Nice.

So, what exactly is a Nike United store?  I know many are wondering if it's an outlet, like the Nike Factory Store in Jackson. The answer is not exactly. According to Malls.com, Nike United stores are a more personalized, local experience. The products will be picked with our area in mind. Local colors will be used. The employees will be from our community. Hometown athletes and local landmarks will be featured in the design. I love this concept.

This will be the very first Nike United store in New Jersey. There are other Nike Factory Stores in Jackson, Blackwood, Atlantic City, Tinton Falls, Newark, Elizabeth, and Paramus.

I'm anxious to check out this new place. I believe it's in the space where Petco once was, near where Bed, Bath & Beyond was.
