A man is dead, after police say, he was hit by two vehicles as he tried to cross Street Road in Bensalem, Bucks County on Wednesday morning. Now police are searching for the driver of the vehicles involved in the crash.

The accident happened on Street Road and Brookwood Drive, around 5:20 a.m. Police say the unidentified adult white male was in the crosswalk traveling to the 7 Eleven nearby. The pedestrian light was red at the time.

The pedestrian was struck by one vehicle -- witnesses told CBS 3 that the driver have may have swerved to attempt to avoid the crash. That vehicle then struck the sign for the nearby Liberty Gas Station. The driver is cooperating with police, and they say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors.

Investigators say the vehicle had a green light and the pedestrian had a red light.

The pedestrian was then struck by a second vehicle. The driver of that vehicle pulled into the parking lot for the First Stop Tobacco Shop after the crash, police say. She exited her car, and witnesses say she was screaming while making a phone call. That driver then left the scene in her own vehicle (without speaking to authorities).

CBS 3 reports that authorities could release surveillance video of that vehicle later today. Meanwhile, Bensalem Police are requesting anyone who may have witnessed this accident to contact them at 215-633-3719.

Street Road between Hulmeville Road and I-95 was closed in the area for much of the morning as officials investigated the accident.
